How does my practice work?

  • Thank you for your interest in meeting with me on your family’s journey.

    I currently have a virtual practice only. Some people have found communicating virtually difficult over the course of the pandemic. If you do not feel that virtual services are a good fit for you, please let me know and I can refer you to another psychologist.

    I typically meet with you for the first time for an hour. I will be interested in what you are hoping to achieve by speaking with a psychologist. I like to work in a practical and solution-focused way and I typically work with people for 6 months to a year.

  • The best way to reach me to cancel or change an appointment is by email. I request 24 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. I have a business telephone number that is a voicemail only. Voicemail messages are checked regularly between the hours of 8am and 5pm. If you are in crisis, I will direct you to call the Crisis Line at 613-722-6914 (in Ottawa) or 1-866-996-0991 (outside of Ottawa).
